Cotto was founded by two moms, friends first.

As parents, we started reading fabric labels — learning to tell real cotton from blends heavy with synthetic elastane. We wanted honest, high-cotton-content clothing for our family, without compromising on comfort or looks.

Socks turned out to be a different challenge. High cotton content wasn’t enough — they also needed to stretch and hold their shape, and look good doing it. That combination was hard to find.

So we decided to make it ourselves. We designed the styles, then tested each version on our own families — several rounds of revisions before the fit and the knit felt right.

Cotto began with one style, one pattern, knit from real, honest cotton — comfortable, pretty socks we made for ourselves first. Now, we’re sharing them with you.
